WELCOME TO MARILLAC CENTER

Retreat and Spirituality Center of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth

ABOUT THE CENTER

Marillac Center, the retreat and spirituality center of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, is located on the Mother House grounds within a natural landscape of lovely trees, spacious parkland and fields, walkways and lively fountains. Marillac Center strives to create a place of quiet beauty and peaceful reflection that nurtures the inward journey in response to the Divine call.

In a spirit of hospitality, this well-designed, modern facility welcomes individuals seeking solitude as well as groups needing a “place away” for planning and renewal. In typical Charity tradition, Marillac is a Catholic center that welcomes people of other faith traditions. Marillac Center carries the name of St. Louise de Marillac, the 17th century Frenchwoman who together with St. Vincent de Paul founded the Daughters of Charity. Her spirit of prayer, service and hospitality permeates our Center.

Marillac Center, established in the spirit of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, provides an environment of prayer, peace, hope and transformation.

A Spirituality of Gratitude

Good Conversations require a person to ask: What is it that I believe? One’s belief is revealed by the process used to engage with another person. Traveling together on this way of life includes both topics (the content) and the process (conversations).
