Come away for a weekend of prayer, reflection, and renewal through the mystical visions of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin- Jesuit priest, scientist, and mystic- spent his life seeking to understand how faith and an evolving universe belong together. Rather than seeing science and faith as competing ways of understanding reality, Teilhard discovered a deeper unity: all creation is unfolding in God and moving toward greater fullness in Christ
Rooted in Ignatian tradition, Teilhard’s spirituality invites us to find God in all things- in creation, in the circumstances of our lives, in our relationships, in our joys and struggles, and even in a world that is continually changing. His mystical vision offers a hope-filled way of seeing our lives: we are not simply observers of an evolving creation; we are participants in God’s ongoing creative and transforming work.
Throughout the weekend, Lori Stevens and Joe Snyder will explore several major themes of Teilhard’s spirituality and allow these themes to become invitations to prayer and personal reflection. Through Ignatian prayer, presentation, silence, personal reflection, and spiritual conversation, participants will be invited not simply to learn about Teilhard, but to experience something of the vision that transformed the way he encountered God, Christ, creation, and his own life.
