The Little Way of St. Therese: To be a Saint in the Twenty-first Century

Date: 10/20/2018 9:00 AM

Date Details: October 20, 2018

October 20, 2018
Holiness seems to be beyond us; after many years of effort, we are still weak and sinful, and we think that saints are perfect and extraordinary. But Therese, a Doctor of the Church, assures us that she was not perfect and that her Little Way of holiness is possible for us because God will raise us to sanctity.  Our spiritual calling is to be honestly aware of our imperfections, and in our repentance and fidelity, to welcome God's mercy. Then, in the ordinary activities of life to share God's mercy by not retaliating and by loving ourselves, others and God.  During the presentations, reflective times and discussions of this day, we will explore Therese's Little Way. We will see how she herself discovered her way and lived it, and how we can live it in our lives.
