Hermanas de la Caridad de Leavenworth continue to accompany the people of Chuschi, Peru, through pastoral ministry and community outreach while also taking important steps to preserve a vital place of worship.

Sister Vickie Perkins, SCL, was honored with the 2026 H. Dean Hamon Humanitarian of the Year Award by the Leavenworth–Lansing Chamber of Commerce on March 11, 2026.
