Sister Loretto Marie Colwell, 86, a Sister of Charity of Leavenworth (SCL) for 67 years, died on April 17, 2026.

“Nothing beats love,” said “Daddy” Bruce Randolph, a Denver, Colorado restaurateur who, in 1964, closed his restaurant for Thanksgiving so he could cook a meal for anyone in need.

A new update from Verdis Group highlights the progress being made toward a more sustainable future. From early visioning conversations to identifying risks and shaping a Net Zero Pathway, this collaborative effort continues to take meaningful steps forward.

After the resurrection of Christ, we Christians are no longer afforded the excuse of fear as a reason for inaction.

For more than 17 years, the Leavenworth Backpack Buddies program has provided a steady source of nourishment and hope for local children.

The wonder of space is limitless. God’s love is everywhere and guiding each of us to expanding our mind and hearts and spirits with love everywhere in space !
I unite with the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth and I offer a corporal work of mercy as my ticket!
Thank you!
May peace grow in our hearts each day. May we give hope to the homeless. May we be messangers of God’s grace to the world. Thanks for the invitation to participate.
