Sister Frances Marie Grady

About the artist:
I am Sister Frances Marie Grady, Sister of Charity of Leavenworth, serving in North Carolina in art ministry, spiritual direction, and retreat presenter. Watercolor painting best expresses my love of color and flowers for praising my creator.

Small Flowers

About the artwork:
The unexpected blessing of time, solitude, and listening in the darkness and insecurity of our time ushered me into the God-given opportunity to express in watercolor painting the beauty of creation. The Glads in this painting bloom from the bottom up with the promise of more to come as time goes on. They are also for me, gratitude for my blessed journey as a Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. Today’s wilt into tomorrow’s vision.

Large Flowers

About the artwork:
The unexpected blessing of time, solitude, and listening in the darkness and insecurity of our time ushered me into the God-given opportunity to express in watercolor painting the beauty of creation. The large peony speaks of the “NOW”, where the receding ones represent all those in the past who have blessed my journey.
