SCL Employee Mission Team Hosts Campus Clean-Up Day

On Tuesday, April 15, the SCL Employee Mission Team (EMT) organized a Campus Clean-Up Day, welcoming participation from Sisters, Associates, and employees across the SCL campus. With a shared spirit of stewardship and companionship, participants spent the day caring for the land and connecting with one another.

Volunteers from various departments—including nursing, Ross Hall, the Mother House, Marillac, laundry, Cantwell, and housekeeping—signed up for one-hour shifts to help beautify the campus. Guided by the SCL Grounds crew, teams tackled a variety of outdoor tasks such as weeding, raking, planting, and mulching.

The clean-up day was a practical way to care for creation and contribute to the upkeep of the campus. It also offered employees and Community members a chance to work side by side in service to the SCL mission. At the end of each shift, Sisters extended their gratitude to participants with a cold treat!

The EMT wishes to thank everyone who participated and helped make this day a success, and special thanks to the Grounds crew for their leadership and support throughout the day.
