Carrying Forward a Sweet Legacy

On Saturday, February 7, 2026, SCL Associates gathered for their annual Sister Madonna Fink Cookie Night, carrying on a much-loved tradition rooted in generosity and shared joy. Once again, Associates came together at the Ryan Sports Center on the University of Saint Mary campus to honor Sister Madonna Fink’s legacy of welcoming students and fans with sweet treats at the women’s and men’s games.

This year, the cookie baking included Sister Renee Washut, who joined in with special enthusiasm. Sister Renee fondly remembers Sister Madonna Fink as a mentor when she was just beginning her teaching ministry, making the tradition especially meaningful for her. Having baked cookies during her years in Colorado as well, she felt right at home supporting a cause that reflects hospitality and care.

Thanks to the generosity of Sisters and Associates, hundreds of cookies were shared with players, students, and spectators, turning game night into a joyful expression of connection, mentorship, and kindness.

Thank you to everyone who baked, donated, and helped carry this sweet tradition forward.
