The Integral Ecology Initiative in Peru is proud to introduce a new initiative, a “Social Aid Campaign,” in collaboration with the human rights advocacy office of San Vicente Pastoral Center. This campaign will take place in the “La Florida” settlement, which is located along the wetland area of the Santa Julia Settlement in the Veintiséis de Octubre district of Piura.
The date is set for Saturday, June 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., due to the availability of health professionals to support the development of the activity.
The following organizations will participate:
- San Vicente Pastoral Center: massages, legal advice, handicrafts workshop
- Lions Club: breakfasts
- Montalvo Institute: haircutting
- EPS Grau: drinking water cistern
- 26 de Octubre Municipality: eco – barter program
- Municipality of Piura: general medicine, optometry
Coordination continues with the leaders of La Florida and other institutions to offer the greatest number of services possible and to begin building a network of organizations with the shared vision of helping people live with dignity and equal opportunity.
With the intercession of St. Vincent, St. Louise, and Mother Xavier, this social aid campaign will be the starting point for the coordination of organizations committed to creating opportunities and enabling vulnerable individuals to live with dignity.
