Today’s world is fraught with much uncertainty, fear, confusion, and yes, pain. We have allowed society to tell us who we are by algorithms and the numbers of likes we receive on various social media pages. So many messages tell us we have to be perfect and unfortunately, we believe that God, too, is judging us by these superficial criteria.
But here’s the GOOD NEWS: God loves us just as we are: made in God’s image and given gifts and talents that make us unique. God rejoices in us and wants nothing more than for us to rejoice in our lives, and to live life to the fullest.
In these several days of prayer, reflection and renewal, we will re-acquaint ourselves with God’s love for us. We will rediscover the beauty in our brokenness and reunite with our deeper selves so that we can do “the work that our soul must have” for the Kingdom and ourselves. Take some time to allow God’s love to wash over you.
