Marillac Retreat & Spirituality Center
Find God, Find Yourself, Find Peace
Life has a way of crowding out what matters most. The demands of daily life—endless to-do lists, responsibilities, distractions, and the constant pull of what feels urgent—can make it difficult to pause and recognize the presence of God. Yet, beneath the noise and busyness, there is an invitation to a deeper awareness, a broader understanding of God’s abiding presence—a love that is not distant but woven into every moment, waiting to be noticed.
Marillac Retreat & Spirituality Center, a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, was created to provide a sacred space offering retreatants a place of peace, prayer, and renewal.

Our Mission
Marillac Retreat & Spirituality Center, established in the spirit of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, provides an environment of prayer, peace, hope, and transformation.
Amid acres of trees, grassy fields, winding walkways, and sparkling fountains, you’ll find the space you need for quiet contemplation, deep reflection, rest, and renewal.
And if you’re part of a group looking for the perfect place to gather and get away, Marillac Center offers several beautiful meeting spaces that reflect the Sisters’ commitment to hospitality, stewardship, and renewal.
Named for Saint Louise de Marillac, the 17th-century Frenchwoman who, together with Saint Vincent de Paul, founded the Daughters of Charity, the Center truly embodies her commitment to prayer and loving service.
When you feel God’s loving invitation to draw closer into relationship, we invite you to schedule a visit to Marillac Center.

Marillac Reflections

The Journey Makes Us One
Marillac Center is located on sacred ground, a place of four seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer.

A Lot of Movement in a Short Time – Part Two
Half of the days have passed during this short yet perfectly balanced month.

A Lot of Movement in a Short Time
I always find February to be a unique month: shifts in temperatures, steps into ordinary time, and movements into new liturgical seasons.

One Body, One Spirit: A Call to Christian Unity
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, January 18 – 25, is an ecumenical event that has been prayed for over a century by the various Christian denominations.

Sr. Mary Pat Johnson
Although made in the image and likeness of God, who is Love, we are all born into a broken world, and in varying degrees, the wounds suffered from that brokenness have separated us from our true identity: persons capable of loving as God loves. These retreat days will explore ways in which fidelity to prayer will gradually heal and transform us into the women and men we were from the beginning created to be. Time for silence, personal prayer, and faith sharing will be included.
