Pilgrims of Hope-2

by Sue Robb, Marillac Spirituality and Retreat Center Director

As Pilgrims of Hope, Pope Francis calls us to conversion, reminding us that hope is the “sure and steadfast anchor of the soul.” True conversion transforms our hearts and minds, leading us to new life in Christ and a deeper relationship with our Triune God. As we journey through Holy Week, we walk closely with Jesus, sharing in His suffering and allowing it to open our hearts to the pain of our brothers and sisters around the world. Through it all, we anchor our hope in the promise of the Resurrection.

As followers of Jesus and Pilgrims of Hope, Jesus encourages us to reflect on our journey.  You might want to make time to attend our upcoming preached retreat – Finding Beauty in the Margins – by Brother Mickey McGrath, OSFS, happening May 27-June 1. Also, in June, we have set aside time for individuals to gather for a 4-day or 8-day silent directed retreat. You will be warmly welcomed and cared for, offered spiritual direction and Mass each day, and given the time and space to reflect on your life’s earthly and spiritual journey. Additionally, we are opening up Marillac each Monday in June for you to spend time on our beautiful campus reflecting on your life’s journey, reading in our library, attending Mass with the Sisters, and/or walking our beautiful grounds, which include a labyrinth, a pollinator garden, beautiful fountains, and many trails. May this Spring renew your hope, and may you feel the Love and Hope of the Risen Christ journeying with you on your pilgrimage through this life.

Marillac Retreat & Spirituality Center staff wishes you a blessed Triduum and a Joyous and Hope-filled Easter.
