Seeking Racial Justice
Fostering Change Through Understanding and Action
The fight for racial justice is a call to heal the soul of our communities and dismantle the structures of racism that divide us. Inspired by faith and the pursuit of equality, we are committed to building a future where every person is valued, respected, and free from discrimination.
Our work toward anti-racism began in 2021, sparked by the ongoing national reckoning with racism and violence, particularly following the tragic deaths of Black Americans at the hands of police.
We work with facilitators to deepen our understanding and un-learn the systemic discrimination woven into our nation’s history.
As Bishop Mark Seitz reminds us in his pastoral letter Night Will Be No More: “When racism shapes our public choices, structures our common life, and becomes a tool of class, this is institutionalized racism. Inaction to oppose its dismantling is what we rightly call white supremacy. This is the evil one incarnate in our everyday choices, lifestyles, and laws.”
Together, we can take bold steps toward a more just and equitable world.
“At its deepest level, racism is a soul sickness. It is a profound warping of the human spirit.”
