Brief History
The JPIC Office and individual Sisters are working on the issue of housing and homelessness in the Leavenworth area and are in the beginning stages of addressing policy change that would have impacts statewide.
The SCL Community has provided operational support to the Leavenworth Interfaith Community of Hope and has also been involved in Habitat for Humanity’s presence here in Leavenworth. We continue to explore ways that we can serve the needs of unhoused people both locally, nationally, and internationally as homelessness is a systemic challenge worldwide.
