A Joyful Morning of Community and Celebration

The Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth hosted an Easter egg hunt for staff families on March 28, creating a joyful morning filled with laughter, sunshine, and excited little ones racing across the grounds in search of colorful eggs. Children eagerly filled their baskets, compared their treasures with friends, and delighted in the simple joy of the celebration.

Families gathered together, enjoying time outdoors and connecting with one another and the Sisters in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The morning offered more than just a festive activity. It was a chance to pause, share in community, and celebrate the spirit of Easter together.

“Having events like these is so special because it brings the staff and Sisters together in ways they aren’t able to on a day-to-day basis,” said Sarah Nichols, Wellness and Activity Coordinator. “These moments are ways of sharing our lives with each other in a meaningful way. The Sisters have always supported children and the value of families in their various missions. This gives them the opportunity to give back to the staff they have come to know.”

Events like the Easter egg hunt reflect the Sisters’ ongoing commitment to fostering connection, joy, and community life. By creating space for families to gather and celebrate, these moments strengthen relationships and bring the mission to life in simple, meaningful ways.
