SCLS Participate in Vatican’s Spei Satelles Project, and Invite You To Join In

On March 27, 2020, Pope Francis offered a solo prayer for the world in St. Peter’s Square during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. On June 10, 2023, his prayers for healing and conversion and his messages of hope will travel around the globe, literally, in a small satellite.

People from around the world are invited to submit their name to be put on a chip that will go with the satellite. To get a “boarding pass” into space, people will be asked to carry out a corporal or spiritual work of mercy.

Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth have long been sources of hope for others through their service in the world. Many Sisters signed up to have their names on the chip going to space, and they invite all who share in their hope for the world and desire to meet the critical needs of God’s people.
