Sisters Judith Jackson and Noreen Walter have completed the month-long International Vincentian Encounter based in Paris, France. During August, the two Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth were part of a group that became immersed in the spirituality and charism of St. Vincent de Paul, the 17th century saint to whom the SCLs trace their origins. They met for conferences and prayer, and toured sites where Vincent lived and served throughout France. While at the Mother House of the Daughters of Charity on Rue de Bac in Paris, Sisters Noreen (left) and Judith visited the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal. They are pictured at the altar shrine to St. Louise de Marillac. The altar on the opposite side at the front of the church has a shrine to St. Catherine Labouré. There is also a reliquary containing the heart of St. Vincent de Paul.

Returning from their tour of the city and Vincentian landmarks yesterday, Sisters Judith and Noreen had a view of the fire-damaged Cathedral of Notre Dame from their bus.

At Notre-Dame de Valfleury, Sister Noreen gave the homily during a Mass at the church. Many miracles have occurred at this site.
Sisters Judith and Noreen visited Taizé where the chant-filled, meditative, candle-lit prayer originated. The group was on pilgrimage to Lyons.
So glad you had a great trip !
