Join Sister Mary Pat Johnson, SCL, for “The Transforming Power of Prayer” weekend retreat, Oct. 12-13, to explore the ways the Spirit guides our praying and the signs of transformation this brings about in our daily lives. There will be time for personal and group prayer and reflection.

Sister Mary Pat is a Sister of Charity of Leavenworth with many years of experience in the classroom and as a spiritual director. She received a BA in theology from the University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth, Kansas; an MA in religious studies from Gonzaga University; and an MA in Christian spirituality with a certification in spiritual direction from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. Presently, Sister Mary Pat serves on the staff of Souljourners’ certification program for spiritual directors in Atchison, Kansas. Other topics of interest for her are Jungian psychology, dream-work, Christian contemplative meditation, and Vincentian spirituality.

    • Donation for this retreat is $50 and includes lunch. Deposit of $25 requested in advance. Checks payable to Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth.
    • All are welcome. Scholarships are available.
    • Overnight accommodations are available for $55 per night plus meals.
