From Kansas City to New Orleans, National Catholic Sisters Week was a time to learn about the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth and to acknowledge their many contributions and their ministries. In Leavenworth, the observance began with a Mardi Gras launch at the SCL Mother House with guests including Sisters and students from the University of Saint Mary. On March 8, employees from the Mother House, Ross Hall and Cantwell Hall Offices treated Sisters to an afternoon buffet of sweets and snacks. A few days later, Sisters at the Mother House and Ross Hall enjoyed cake in recognition of the week.

The House of Charity, New Orleans, welcomed students from the University of Saint Mary and Fort Hays State University (both in Kansas) for spring break service trips. And in Topeka, staff at Marian Dental Clinic acknowledged the two SCLs who volunteer there.
