SCL in ‘Standup Sisters: Green Habits’ event

On March 8 in Pittsburgh, Pa., Sister Rejane Cytacki will be among five sisters sharing their inspiring and joyful stories — from raising bees to dining on donated roadkill — at the free public event “Standup Sisters: Green Habits.” Sister Rejane is executive director of the Eco-Justice Center, Racine, Wisc. “Decades before Pope Francis published ‘Laudato Si: On Care For Our Common Home’ in 2015, sisters were harvesting solar and wind power,” says Jennifer Szweda Jordan, a longtime environmental journalist and the producer of Standup Sisters. St. Thomas More Church, Pittsburgh, is hosting this event and reception from 7 to 9 p.m.
