If you are …
A woman between 20 to 45 and discerning a religious vocation …
Consider sharing your time and talents by serving at the House of Charity in New Orleans. Former volunteers say, “This is an experience that transforms your heart and changes your life.” We will work with you to determine length of service and time of year for this volunteer opportunity.
We are interested in women open to the vocation of religious life – from the inquiry phase to those who are further along on the journey.
The House of Charity offers the opportunity to live with the Sisters while you serve.
New Orleans is home to many wonderful non-profit organizations with which the House of Charity collaborates. Some of the organizations include:
SBP
rebuilding homes
Green-Light New Orleans
installing gardens, energy-efficient lightbulbs, rain barrels
Hotel Hope
journeying with women and children escaping homelessness
Young Adult Ministry
participating in young adult ministry in the diocese
