Sister Roberta Furey, who died in May 2018, remains much beloved among the staff at Mount Saint Vincent (MSV), Denver, where she served for 48 years. The MSV family memorialized Sister Roberta on Friday, June 21 by dedicating the dog run at the residential and day treatment center in her honor. Pictured above, front row, Louie, Benson, Zoe and Oscar are looking forward to the dog run.
Kirk Ward, executive director, gave remarks at the event. Father John Costanzo, SCL Associate, blessed the dog run.
In addition to her strong devotion to the youth she served at Mount Saint Vincent, Sister Roberta had great zest for life and fondness for her family. She loved the mountains and dogs, and she enjoyed sports, especially the Denver Broncos.
