SCL Associates of Helena, Mont., have announced this year’s “Warm Hearts: new blanket and towel drive to gift the poor on Valentine’s Day.” The ecumenical drive will run Jan. 12 through Feb. 3. Associate Linda McCray (pictured above) and her husband prepared boxes that are placed in participating Helena area churches. Other Helena Associates involved with the annual project include Bobby Lavinder and Marion Johnson.

Persons can leave donations of new blankets and towels at the Cathedral of St. Helena, Churches of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (two different locations), Covenant United Methodist, First Lutheran Church, First Presbyterian Church, Headwaters Covenant, Our Lady of the Valley, St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral, St. Johns’ Lutheran Church, Saint Mary Catholic Community and St. Paul’s Methodist. Those not associated with a participating church can bring donations to the Cathedral of St. Helena parish office Monday through Thursday, between  9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Associates (SCLA) are women and men invited to partner with the vowed members of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth “to witness and share the mission of Jesus who calls us to love God with our whole hearts and to love our neighbor even as God loves us.” For more info about the SCLA program, click here.
