For the third consecutive year, Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth (SCLs) and SCL employees participated in a service project on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in collaboration with Heart to Heart International. Heart to Heart International provides water and supplies to people affected by natural disasters in the United States and abroad.
Sisters and employees made good and efficient use of their time the morning of Monday, Jan. 20, assembling 750 hygiene kits for the international agency. From prep work at individual tables then through the assembly line and on to quality control and placing the kits in boxes, participants worked together for this annual service project hosted by the SCL Employee Mission Team. The Heart to Heart team provides all of the supplies.
