Elections

What do we consider when voting?

Pope Francis tells us that, “Politics, according to the Social Doctrine of the Church, is one of the highest forms of charity, because it serves the common good. I cannot wash my hands, eh? We all have to give something!”

As Catholics, we have a responsibility to be informed citizens and to vote responsibly. The role of the Church and social teaching is to help us inform our conscience about what issues matter when we vote. Attached are some resources to help you evaluate your decisions when participating in elections, and other organizations with election resources.
