Publicized as a chance for Serrans to say “thanks” and for Sister participants to exercise, enjoy food for their souls and bodies, and have fun, Saturday’s 13th annual Blisters for Sisters delivered on these promises. SCLs came out in good numbers to walk, attend Mass and have lunch. They left with prizes, t-shirts and generous gifts from the Serra Clubs in the Greater Kansas City Area. Proceeds from the walk go to the ministries of the religious orders in the area served by participating Serra clubs.

Walking, talking,– all part of camaraderie at the event. Left to right, Sisters Linda Roth, Mary Ann Theisen and Jane Jackson.
Where two or three or seven or more SCLs are gathered, there’s bound to be a good time. Seated, left to right, Sisters Marie Loretta Modrcin, Carolyn Gloege and Frances Juiliano; standing, Sisters Dolores Brinkel, Margaret Finch, Kathleen Mary Connelly and Mary Clare Gappa.
