Facilitators:

Sister Karen Guth, SCL, is actively involved in direction and retreat ministry and has facilitated workshops with women’s groups. Sister Karen has an MA in Theology with emphasis in spirituality. She completed the Vincentian Spiritual Directors Program in Denver in 1998. She previously taught in Catholic schools; coordinated Making Choices, a program that trained women volunteers to mentor incarcerated women; and served as a team member at Marillac Center.

 

Sister Mary Pat Johnson

Sister Mary Pat Johnson, SCL, has many years’ experience in the classroom and as a spiritual director. She received an MA in religious studies from Gonzaga University and an MA in Christian spirituality with a certification in spiritual direction from Creighton University, Omaha. Presently, Sister Mary Pat serves on the staff of Souljourners’ certification program for spiritual directors in Atchison, Kan. Other topics of interest for her are Jungian psychology, dream work, Christian contemplative meditation and Vincentian spirituality.

Sister Marilyn Peot, CSJ, has been in full-time spiritual ministry since 1972. Trained in the art of listening, discernment and spiritual development, she has done extensive study in psychological and emotional development and in varied spiritualities, Scripture and the Ignatian Exercises. In addition to retreat work and spiritual direction, she has initiated ongoing groups for prayer, Scripture study and inner healing.

 

Sister Kathleen Wood, SCL, a member of the Marillac staff, and recently retired from teaching theology and ministry at the University of Saint Mary, brings a wealth of understanding and appreciation of Scripture and the spiritual life to share in retreats and spiritual direction. She holds a master’s degree in theology with a concentration in Scripture from Boston College and a certificate in religious formation from Saint Louis

This set of directed retreats are scheduled April 14-20.

Fees:
  • The retreat begins at 7:00 p.m. on the first night and ends the morning of the last day. Please register as soon as possible, indicating your first, second and third choices of retreat directors. We will assign directors on a first come basis.
    Retreat fee is $70 per day and includes the retreat, overnight accommodations and meals. 6 days = $420; 8 days = $560.
  • Scholarships are available.
  • A $50 deposit will reserve your space for this retreat.
