Marilyn Peot, CSJ, has been in full-time spiritual ministry since 1972. Trained in the art of listening, discernment and spiritual development, she has done extensive study in psychological and emotional development and in varied spiritualities, Scripture, and the Ignatian Exercises.  In addition to retreat work and spiritual direction she has initiated ongoing groups for prayer, Scripture study and inner healing.
 

Karen Guth, SCL, is actively involved in direction and retreat ministry and has facilitated workshops with women’s groups. Karen has an M.A. in Theology with emphasis in spirituality. She completed the Vincentian Spiritual Directors Program in Denver in 1998. She previously taught in Catholic schools; coordinated Making Choices, a program which trained women volunteers to mentor incarcerated women; and served as a team member at Marillac Center.  

Kathleen Wood, SCL, a member of the Marillac staff, and recently retired from teaching Theology and Ministry at the University of Saint Mary, brings a wealth of understanding and appreciation of Scripture and the spiritual life to share in retreats and spiritual direction. She holds a Masters degree in Theology with a concentration in Scripture from Boston College and a Certificate in Religious Formation from St. Louis University.

Joseph Schmidt, FSC, a DeLaSalle Christian Brother, formerly on the staff of Sangre de Cristo, a sabbatical program, in Santa Fe, NM, is a retreat presenter, spiritual director and pastoral counselor.  He has recently served in Kenya and is presently in residence at LaSalle University, Philadelphia, PA.  He is author of Praying Our Experiences; Praying with Thérèse; Everything is Grace: the Life and Way of Thérèse of Lisieux; and Walking the Little Way of Thérèse of Lisieux.
 
Helen Ann Collier, CCVI, a Sister of Charity of the Incarnate Word.,  served at the Sangre De Cristo Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico and as a spiritual director in the MTM sabbatical program at the Oblate School of Theology.  Sister Helen Ann’s ministry experience has included education, parish ministry and health care.  She has served on the Provincial Leadership Team in her community both as Provincial and Director of Ministry.

Father David Simpson, O.Carm.  Fr. David Simpson, O.Carm., was ordained in 1970. Fr. David’s ministries include: high school teacher, novice-master, pastor, and retreat ministry. Fr. David served in leadership in his community. While in leadership he served on the Ministerial Team of the Carmelite Spiritual Center in Darien as a Spiritual Director.  He now resides at St. Boniface Priory in Scipio, Kansas continuing Carmelite spiritual ministry.
