The Transforming Power of Prayer

Date: 10/27/2017 5:00 PM

Date Details: October 27-29, 2017

Fidelity to prayer changes us.  Only, however, if we accept St. Paul’s reminder in his letter to the Romans that we do not know how to pray.  Rather it  is the Holy Spirit who prays in us.
During this weekend, Sister Mary Pat, SCL will explore with participants  many of  the ways the Spirit guides our praying and the  signs of transformation it brings about in our daily lives.
There will be time  set aside for personal and group prayer and reflection.

Therese: A Saint of Mercy for our Violent Times

Date: 11/4/2017 9:00 AM

Date Details: November 4, 2017

Therese is a “modern saint” and a “little saint” who experienced life as we do; she shared in our difficulties and joys.
With sessions of teachings, time for reflection, opportunities for discussion and questions/answers we will explore what Therese understood by being a loving person toward herself and others.  We will consider how we might pray and respond to our imperfections as Therese did, and discuss how we might even ‘love our enemies,’ just as Therese loved the difficult nuns she lived with.
