Denver’s Annual Vincentian Family Gathering is scheduled Friday, Sept. 14, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 1555 Grant Street. The event will bring together persons -- lay and religious -- with ties to the spirituality of St. Vincent de Paul.

Sister Carolyn Gloege is among women religious featured in an article titled “Path to religious life varies, especially when sisters start out non-Catholic” posted to “Global Sisters Report” yesterday. 

Starting in the 1920s, Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth became involved in the missionary spirit and work of teaching summer vacation religion schools in areas that had no Catholic elementary schools. Different SCLs shared their more recent recollections of the experiences.
Marillac Center, the retreat and spirituality center of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, will offer a full schedule of retreats and programs starting in September.
